The importance of web app testing

Web apps use browsers to load and function. Owing to the same reason they are much more vulnerable and need thorough performance, functionality, and compatibility analysis to make sure they are offering good UX (User Experience) to the users.

Why compatibility? As you know there exists a plethora of browsers and devices at present. To ensure that your app is performing as it is supposed to be in all the browsers, browser compatibility has to be checked and corrected.

Web apps use many third-party integrations, APIs, intuitive UI (User Interface), etc. The app also has to be highly interoperable and frequently goes through enhancements, code changes, and design changes.

That being said we always recommend incorporating QA (Quality Assurance) as early as possible into the development pipeline. Bugs that surface after deployment are way costlier to fix than that in the development phase.

Types of Testing we recommend

Usability Testing

Be it your web app or web portal it needs to be usable in terms of navigation and accessibility. Through usability testing, all these aspects can be checked

Functionality Testing

Functionalities of the web app news to be validated with respect to the requirement document. Any deviation can cause sequential catastrophe.

Performance Testing

Your app must have a scalable architecture to accommodate the load it gets. Despite having a scalable architecture it has to be evaluated to remove all the performance bottlenecks.

Compatibility Testing

You have used a multitude of resources for your app. But are they performing equally across devices and browsers? Compatibility testing checks this and will give you insights on what needs to be done.

Test Automation

Relying on testers for every code update is not feasible. What if there there is an automated quality analysis framework built into the development pipeline that can be automated to check wherever there is a code change. Luckily, test automation can help you in that

Accessibility Testing

Accessibility is not just something that could help people. Apart from tbe noble nature it also has a business angle to it. Accessibility testing ensures that your product can be used by all kinds of users.

Security Testing

If you have a look at the stats about cyber attacks and data thefts you will know that security loopholes in your system need to be found so that your business could be safe or be in a better defensive position.

Should I hire an entire team? Or the number of testers that are fit for my project?
